Certified Chiropractic Wellness Specialist (CCWS)

For more information please contact the ACA's Education Department at education@acatoday.org. To register please visit www.acatoday.org.

The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) has partnered with the National Wellness Institute (NWI) to offer a wellness certification program for doctors of chiropractic. After completing this 40-hour program, participants may become Certified Chiropractic Wellness Specialists through NWI, a well-respected organization recognized both inside and outside the chiropractic profession. ACA has created an evidence-based program to give doctors of chiropractic the information and tools necessary to act as wellness coaches to their patients. While courses in psychology are a regular part of the curriculum at many chiropractic colleges, most D.C.s do not receive specific training in health and wellness promotion—a burgeoning field in today’s health-conscious society. ACA’s program fills those gaps and enhances doctors’ ability to reinforce healthy behaviors in their patients.
