The Palmer Capital Campaign

Building the Future Fountainhead

Science and technology blend with rich tradition to form a place that can only be the Palmer campus. Its story is one of history, people and the birth of a healthcare profession.

In 2001, Palmer College of Chiropractic launched an ambitious $35 million capital campaign to provide funding for the building of a modern learning resource center. During December 2004, a Campaign Completion Plan was drafted to facilitate the successful completion of the campaign by the end of 2006. As we enter that completion phase, we are excited to announce the expansion of our project scope to include up-to-date clinic facilities. Palmer has proudly provided chiropractic care to our community since the inception of the college in 1897. Our clinics currently serve an average of 125,000 patients annually. We have outgrown our existing space on campus, and we look forward to expanding our care as well as enhancing the educational opportunities for our students.

The Chiropractic Learning Resource Center (CLRC) will be a focal point on campus, a crossroads for the entire profession, and will provide alumni, faculty, students and researchers with an educational resource center comparable to none. The CLRC will house community outpatient clinic facilities, clinical learning resources for students, radiology services, rehabilitation services and a visitor’s center. The campaign will also fund improvements to campus facilities for Chiropractic Research, Technique and Radiology, making state-of-the-art education in these areas a reality. In addition, the campaign will provide $10 million for the Palmer College Endowment, ensuring the highest-quality educational programs for future students.

As we take these final steps, we look to our alumni and friends for leadership and support. Our goal is to graduate the most talented and skilled chiropractors in the profession. Our capital campaign plays an important role in that purpose. You can make a difference in the lives of current and future students. This is an opportunity to demonstrate your leadership and dedication in the profession  to assist the next generation of chiropractors who will influence and improve modern health care only if they have the right tools, education and inspiration. With your assistance, our students can make their dreams come true; the same dreams held by our alumni.

Here are the latest figures on our Capital Campaign:

Capital: 19,554,860
Annual fund: 4,724,013
Endowment: 10,226,365
Total: 34,505,238

Your kindness of a gift for our capital campaign will be greatly appreciated especially by our future students. Please be a part and help us keep the Palmer Beacon shining brightly. Sincerely,
