A Message from the Dean

Well done! You have made two extremely sensible decisions pertaining to the future of your life. The first is the decision to attend graduate school. Graduate study provides you the opportunity to expand your knowledge, helps provide entry into Ph.D. programs, and should make you more employable, in the event you decide to enter the job market after graduation. It increases your confidence and wherewithal to find solutions, which, in turn, tends to further bolster your self-esteem and confidence.

The second decision, as significant to that of entering graduate school, is choosing the Palmer Division of Graduate Studies. Whether you pursue your Master’s Degree in the Anatomy Program, with opportunities to develop an advanced understanding of Anatomy, Biomechanics, and Neuroscience, or in the Clinical Research Program with opportunities to develop your capacity for research in human health, you have made a positive investment in yourself that will pay dividends for the rest of your life.

In either the Anatomy or the Clinical Research degree programs, you will find a rewarding curriculum taught by outstanding veteran faculty members. Your specific curriculum will be comprehensive, providing a foundation for everything else you do. It will emphasize the current literature in the field, and the most contemporary research techniques of research design, methodology and analysis. It is a Palmer goal to appropriately challenge you while you correspondingly develop responsibility toward your professional development.

We are confident that we will be helping you to become as proficient of a Master’s student as possible in the short time you will be with us. Working with closely with your graduate faculty, you will be able to clearly define research problems and see ways to approach their resolution – skills necessary regardless of station in life.

The genesis begins now. We’re looking forward to welcoming you in person!
