International Students
Official international transcripts may require evaluation by a
recognized transcript evaluation service. Please contact the Division of
Graduate Studies for further information.
NOTE: An F-1 student visa
is necessary for enrollment at Palmer College. Without it, a candidate
will not be permitted to enroll. This visa does not allow off-campus
employment. Work Permits are issued at the discretion of the U.S.
Department of Justice, Immigration and Naturalization Service. An F-2
visa or visitor's visa, class B, will only permit the spouse and children
to accompany an admitted student to the United States and does not allow
them to remain for an extended period. This visa is not acceptable for
admission to the College and the holder, according to present immigration
regulation, may not be employed in the United States.
After acceptance, the U.S. Department of Justice form I-20 A-B will be
sent to the international student. This form must be surrendered at the
port of entry into the United States. At the port of entry, forms I-94
and I-20 ID will be issued to the student in exchange for the I-20 A-B
form. A portion of the I-20 A-B form will be returned to the student. The
international student is expected to keep this in their possession at all
times.
