All graduate students must successfully complete a minimum of 36 credit hours of course work including:
Students progress through specific milestones of the program, including the following competencies:
1) evaluate and interpret scientific literature
2) collaborate on research teams
3) formulate research questions
4) determine study aims and appropriate study designs to address the research questions
5) prepare research proposals
6) collect and manage data from research projects
7) appropriately analyze data from research projects
8) effectively communicate research findings to the scientific community
9) perform ethical research
10) contribute to public health knowledge by designing, conducting and participating in original research
