The
Heritage Endowment Society (HES) was established in July 2007 to
recognize and honor, during their lifetimes, alumni and friends whose
vision and leadership inspire them to support the mission of Palmer
College of Chiropractic through a cash gift, planned gift or estate
gift.
All members of the Heritage
Endowment Society are acknowledged annually in the Honors Book and
invited to an annual Heritage Endowment Society recognition event.
Requests for anonymity are honored.
In
addition, qualified members are recognized on the Heritage Endowment
Wall, a fitting monument. The wall was built from bricks originally from
the Ryan building, where Dr. D.D. Palmer performed the first
chiropractic adjustment. Atop the wall sit bronze busts of three
generations of Palmers, identified as the Discoverer, the Developer, and
the Educator with Mable Palmer, the Chiropractic First Lady, in close
proximity-all of whom secured a place in chiropractic history.
