Although research has been a part of Palmer
College throughout its history, the Palmer Center for Chiropractic Research was
established in 1995. Since that time, it has achieved several historical firsts:
- First chiropractic institution to receive a grant directly from the federal
government to establish a formal research center
- First chiropractic organization to receive a contract to establish an annual
national research conference
- First chiropractic institution to be awarded a federal grant to expand its
facility
- First chiropractic institution to receive a research curriculum grant for
providing master’s of science degree training of chiropractors in high-level
clinical research
