Examinations

The Division of Graduate Studies does not use an admission examination alone to qualify a student for admission to graduate study. However, all applicants are expected to submit scores from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) as a part of the admission process. Other examinations or sub-parts of examinations may be specifically required by individual degree programs. Applicants should consult the specific requirements for their program for additional expectations. Scores from the General (aptitude) Test of the GRE are required. However, because the Division of Graduate Studies does not qualify applicants for admission on these scores alone, and in congruence with the purpose of this examination, no minimum score for admission has been established.

Official reports must be sent directly from the Educational Testing Service to the Division of Graduate Studies (institutional code R6593). Registration and additional testing information for the Graduate Record Examination is available at www.ets.org/gre.
