Has PETA Gone Hog Wild? Animal Rights vs. Human Rights
An ABC “20/20” segment aired on Friday, Feb. 7, in which reporter John Stossel interviewed PETA President Ingrid Newkirk and challenged her to defend some of the group's positions, including their view that people should not eat meat, drink milk, wear leather or conduct any form of animal research. He also criticized the organization for paying $45,000 for the legal defense fund of an animal rights activist who bombed a building in Michigan.
