Campus Guides

History of the Campus Guides:

The Campus Guides is a volunteer organization that was created by Palmer students John C. Lawyer and John Markey in 1959 in Davenport, Iowa. Both B.J. Palmer and his son, David who was president of Palmer College at the time endorsed the formation of the Campus Guides, and the organization was born.

In 2001 the Palmer West Campus Guide organization was founded. The Campus Guides at Palmer West are the administration's personal staff and represent the administration's office while working with all dignitaries, prospective students, alumni and guests that visit the Palmer West campus.

Campus Guide Mission Statement:

The Palmer West Campus Guides are leaders in the student community who represent the Philosophy, Science and Art of Chiropractic. With a passion for the advancement of Palmer College of Chiropractic West, we unite with one professional voice to perpetuate the ideals of Palmer and Chiropractic. We seek to share our knowledge and understanding of the rich history of Chiropractic and Palmer College of Chiropractic West in an honest and sincere manner while conducting campus tours that offer an informative, interesting and entertaining view into Chiropractic and the Palmer West experience.
