Eligibility
 


Who Is Eligible?

To qualify as an eligible student for all of the federal and state programs, you must meet all of the following requirements:

  • be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen;
  • be registered with Selective Service or enlisted in the armed forces if you are a man born after 1960;
  • be enrolled or accepted for enrollment on at least a half-time basis;
  • be working toward a degree;
  • be making satisfactory academic progress as defined by the institution;
  • not be in default on any loan or owe a refund on any grant made under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 at this or any other institution;
  • qualify for aid based on the federally required needs analysis program;
  • have a valid Social Security Number;
  • and must not be receiving financial aid from another institution for the same period of time.
