Rights and Responsibilities—1 credit
Prerequisites: None
Prerequisite for: CBPM134
This course will discuss professional ethics and integrity, the importance of vision and personal mission, introduces interpersonal communications skills and financial planning and budgeting. The emphasis in the class is on personal financial skills necessary to prepare for practice success.

Chiropractic Practice Marketing—2 credits
Prerequisites: CBPM132
Prerequisite for: CBPM139, CLIN820, CLIN821
Co-requisite with: CLIN803
This course is a continuation of Introduction to Clinical Practice in its discussion of patient education and communication skills (marketing self and practice). The class will focus on communication skills, public speaking and internal and external marketing and doctor/patient relationships.

Financial Management Strategies—2 credits
Prerequisites: CLIN803
Prerequisite for: CBPM139, CLIN802
Co-requisite with: CBPM137
This course discusses payment options within professional practice including cash practice, insurance-based practice and participation in managed care organizations. Procedures for insurance claims submissions and management will be included and collection strategies will be discussed.

Practice Management Strategies—4 credits
Prerequisites: CLIN805
Prerequisite for: CBPM139, CLIN 822
Co-requisite with: CBPM135, CLIN801, CLIN820
The Seven Critical Issues of Practice form the basis of this course, which prepares students for opening their office and acquiring and retaining patients. Financial and accounting systems, employee systems, office systems and storyboarding techniques will be discussed.

Planning for Practice Success—3 credits
Prerequisites: CBPM137, CLIN802, CBPM134, CBPM135
This course is devoted to final preparation for the student to enter chiropractic practice. The focus is on providing students with the necessary information to prepare a comprehensive business plan before entering chiropractic practice. In addition, a variety of business topics are presented and business/practice management speakers will make presentations.

Special Topics—2 credits
Prerequisites: None
The course focuses on advanced X-ray analysis. Radiographic diagnosis of the abdomen and chest is included.
