Principles of Chiropractic and Health Sciences Information Literacy—1 credit
Prerequisites: None
This course introduces the student to the major chiropractic and health science information resources. The course focuses on developing the skills necessary to determine the information need, efficiently access the essential information and critically evaluate that information for relevancy and accuracy. Utilization of the information resources will be covered in reference to other coursework, as well as in a clinical and/or professional practice setting. Some of the economic, legal and social issues surrounding the ethical and legal use of information will also be discussed.
