Radiology IV—Positioning—5 Credits
Prerequisites: ROEN505, ROEN506, ROEN507
Prerequisite for: CLIN816
The course covers radiographic positioning of the axial and appendicular skeleton and some non-skeletal systems. Lecture and lab.

Radiology I—Introduction to Bone Imaging—6 credits
Prerequisites: ANAT202, ANAT204, ANAT211
Prerequisite for: ROEN506
This course covers methods of imaging, normal anatomy and normal variants of the skeletal system. There is a brief presentation of roentgenometics, followed by topics of congenital, blood, infection, endocrine and arthritis diseases of bone.

Radiology II—Advanced Interpretation—4 credits
Prerequisites: ANAT202, ANAT204, ANAT211, ROEN505
Prerequisite for: ROEN504
This course covers radiographic evaluation of the skeletal system including, but not limited to, neoplasia, trauma to the extremities and arthritides. It supplies an overview of plain film radiography along with some discussion and visualization of specialized imaging procedures, including nuclear bone scintigraphy, computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as related to case work-up. Patient management and various medical and legal aspects are also discussed.

Radiology III—Technology & Protection—6 credits
Prerequisites for: ROEN504
Radiology III entails the study of radiologic technology, including the production and control of
X-ray radiation, radiologic equipment design and usage, principles of exposure, safe dark room procedures, image quality, radiobiology and radiation protection.

NOTE: Radiology of the chest and abdomen with patient management is covered in CPBM 140 of the Chiropractic Practice and Business Management Department.
