Power of 1 - How It Works

This program is purely based on voluntary participation. Many of you who are involved with the Alumni Student Recruitment Program (ASRP) are familiar with the information and tools which have already been designed to assist you in your recruitment efforts. The following page shows how The Power of One and the ASRP work together. Palmer spends $2,500 on enrollment per student. This program can help lower those costs, allowing more money to be spent in other areas of the school.

Communication Flow – The Power Line

The main source of communication will be e-mail. Palmer will be sending out messages on a regular basis via "Precious Gems." This will be our link to each other and our way of sharing new ideas, posting any special events, setting goal dates, Power Perks, etc. Someday we would like to have a Web site, with all the fancy capabilities that would allow our administrators to "talk" to you all, have special get-togethers, chat rooms and more. Until then, basic e-mail will do. For those of you without e-mail, we strongly recommend that you get it. Until you do, I will send you important updates and information via postal mail. However, it may not be in as timely a manner.

What now?

1. First, call (1-800-722-3648) or e-mail Katie Mclaughlin and she will send you the Power of One Booklet and the contract. Sign the contract and send it back to the Admissions Office. This will allow us to know how many people we can count on. This will also be an indication of your commitment to Palmer and Chiropractic and allow you to participate in the incentive package.
2. Look for "The Power Line" e-mail or letters from Palmer. These will provide you with practical ideas on how to encourage a student to apply and then enroll at Palmer College. We will give you all the support you need.
3. Call the Admissions Department at (800) 722-3648 if you need current recruitment materials.

You are not alone

Some people are concerned that they are going to have to do a lot of work all by themselves. This program is a great opportunity for you to get a group of doctors working together. Admissions has a list of people in your area who have also expressed an interest in helping Palmer. Plus, the Alumni department is on the road every week ... Palmer is here to support you. This is a wonderful chance to make a huge impact on the profession.
