The outdoor recreation program has it all for you... from trips to camping gear to instructional classes.  We offer organized trips for everyone from the avid hiker to the first-time camper.  Got kids? Bring them along! Planning your own trips, but need equipment? Not a problem.  We will provide you with quality affordable equipment. Never used camping equipment before?  No worries!  We have pictures and instructions to help you get the most out of your adventure! If you are unsure of what to bring on a trip, print off the checklist and get ready to EXPLORE!

Equipment Rentals

Rent everything you need for your next outdoor excursion. Tents, backpacks, stoves, flashlights, and more!  Equipment is available to all in the Palmer Community.  Need it longer for a day or weekend? No problem! Just let our friendly staff know. If there is something you are interested in that is not available, please let us know. We welcome your comments and suggestions!

Contact Student Services to rent equipment

Items are available on a first come-first served basis, except during University holiday periods. Reservations are accepted for University holidays for equipment to be picked up the last day of scheduled classes prior to a University holiday. To reserve equipment, renters must visit Student Services and pay the full rental fee with either cash or check.  A credit card must be provided as a security deposit when reserving or renting equipment.  All reservation payments are non-refundable. Equipment returned after 3:30pm on the date due will be assessed additional daily rental fees.

To ensure that equipment is functional and so renters can demonstrate proper use of the equipment, a demonstration is mandatory before all equipment is rented.

Upon return, equipment will be set-up or operated with the renter present to check for damages.
