Wellness Services

Palmer Counseling Services is an expression of the concept of holistic experience, and that all dimensions of experience are connected. The realities of being a chiropractic student can make it challenging to maintain one’s overall well being. Counseling Services is a complementary practice with chiropractic, assisting students in the goal of optimizing one’s level of functioning. Students are encouraged to speak with Academic Counselors, Lisa.mestad@palmer.edu or Lori.newman@palmer.edu  about strategies for being well while engaged in the process of preparing themselves to be wellness-care providers. Students are also encouraged to use the Student Resource and Assistant Program  (SRAP), for personal and mental health wellness. The SRAP is a free and confidential service that offers practical solutions, online resources, one-on-one telephone consultations 24 hours a day, seven days a week on a variety of issues including but not limited to personal and family counseling, substance abuse interventions, health care resources, legal assistance, financial advising and planning, and spiritual/religious counseling. The SRAP provides services to help promote your success and wellness.
