United States Preventative Services Task Force
Contains recommendations for clinical preventative services (such as screenings and counseling) for a wide range of health issues.  Recommendations are developed by an independent panel of experts based on reviews of effectiveness.

Agency for Healthcare Research and Qualiity
AHRQ is charged with improving the quality, safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of health care for all Americans.  The site provides a wealth of information on prevention, intervention, and prevalence for many conditions as well as links to sources with more specific information.

Centers for Disease Control
The CDC provides authoritative current information on many health topics and provides links to other authoritative sources.

The Health and Human Services website contains an entire section of links to authoritative wellness information

Excellent source for consumer health information. Provides a medical encyclopedia and dictionary, information of a wide range of drugs and herbal supplements, and links to high-quality health and wellness information on other websites.
