Ruth Hall has been a librarian at the Palmer Health Sciences Library for more than 20 years, first from 1977 to 1981 and then from 1986 to the present. She earned her B.S. degree in Education in 1971 and her M.Libr. (Master of Librarianship) in 1972 from Emporia, Kansas, State University. Prior to coming to Palmer, she held the position of librarian and media specialist at several school libraries. At Palmer, Hall worked in acquisitions and public services areas before becoming a collection management librarian in 1988. Currently, she is responsible for cataloging audiovisual materials, overseeing the processing of library materials, and handling local cataloging issues concerning the Palmer library's Horizon database, as well as those which impact the database at the regional and international levels. Hall is a member of the Iowa Library Association and the Association for the History of Chiropractic.
