What kind of reference services are available?

Library Faculty are available at the Reference desk to assist in locating information resources and database instruction.

What is Interlibrary Loan and how long does it take?

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services may be used to borrow books and and obtain journal articles not owned by Palmer Library. Requests for interlibrary loan may be submitted at the Circulation Desk or online. The standard ILL process can take anywhere from two hours tot two weeks depending of availability of item.

How long are check-out periods for books?

Undergraduate/DC students-2 week checkout

Graduate students-Up to six month checkout

Can I make recommendations for new material?

Suggestions for additions to the collection may be sent to the Library in care of Susan Burns (563) 884-5467.

Is there a fax machine available

The cost of sending a fax is $1.00/page. The cost of receiving a fax is free. The fax machine is located on the 3rd floor of the Library behind the Circulation Desk.
