On April 30, from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., the City of Davenport will be
conducting a Clean Up/Green Up event throughout the city, in cooperation
with United Neighbors and the Scott County Waste Commission, with
co-promotion being done by the Hilltop Campus Village and others.
The
event will involve forming teams of volunteers that will be assigned to
areas where they will put litter in bags. Volunteers may also request
to plant trees in specified areas, under the direction of Chris Johnson,
the City’s Arborist. The city’s goal is to have 501 trees planted in
the public right of way during the event.
