Florida Campus students excited by Brigadier General visit
8/26/2010 (Archived)
They packed the house
for Brigadier General (Ret.) Becky Halstead’s visit to the Florida Campus. With
more than 100 students in the main classroom and about 50 more watching a
simulcast of her presentation in an adjoining room, students enthusiastically
greeted Brig. Gen. Halstead during her Aug. 25 visit to Palmer’s Florida
Campus.
It was a very busy day
for Brig. Gen. Halstead, now a spokesperson for The Foundation for Chiropractic
Progress, as she held meetings with student groups, visited classrooms and the
Clinic, met with media and attended an evening dinner with members of the local
community.
Halstead embodies the
inspirational messages she conveys to others. Her engaging delivery and a unique
ability to make everyone she talks with feel important had the campus
buzzing.
“The energy of your
students on this campus is exciting and infectious. They appear to be a group
that not only talks the talk, but walks the walk!” said Brig. Gen. Halstead,
borrowing one of the points she made during her presentation on Steadfast
Leadership.
