Palmer Paints the Towne again this year
11/11/2010 (Archived)
It was unusually cold
for central Florida, but that did not deter more than 500 people of all ages,
representing several countries and states, from participating in the annual
Palmer Paints the Towne 5K. Held on Sunday, Nov. 7, the event began and ended at
Jackie Robinson Ballpark in Daytona Beach. Palmer College was once again the
title sponsor, joining gold level sponsors Brown & Brown Insurance, Halifax
Health, Bonefish Grille and the Daytona Cubs to name a few. Pre- and post-race
chiropractic care was provided by the Florida Campus Sports Council. Event
organizer Donna Hiatt of the Daytona Beachcombers Running Club expressed her
appreciation for Palmer’s support. “We’d like to thank Palmer College for their
support again this year. Through their sponsorship, volunteers and services to
the participants, Palmer College has certainly become an integral part of the
event’s success.”
