Shaw, Florida Campus Brighten Christmas for Area Children
Christmas will be a little happier for foster children in the Port Orange-South Daytona community this year. Under the direction of Cheryl Shaw, PHR, Human Resource Manager, employees of the Florida Campus “adopt a child” for Christmas by purchasing gifts for foster children identified by the Community Partnership for Children.
“Without Cheryl’s leadership, this initiative would not be as successful as it is. She really helps spread the Christmas spirit around campus,” said Florida Campus President Peter Martin, D.C.
The Port Orange-South Daytona Rotary organizes the annual toy drive for the community with an average of 500 foster children benefitting by receiving toys and gifts gathered by the drive.
“It’s truly wonderful to see the outpouring of support and generosity from our employees. The event is a great opportunity for Palmer to give back to the community. This is our fifth year participating in the program,” said Ms. Shaw.
