As the Florida Sports Council continues to grow, the list of sporting events and venues for providing sports chiropractic grows as well. They can now add Taekwondo to the list which includes, USTA tennis tournaments, NCAA college basketball and baseball, LPGA golfers, triathlons, marathons, 5K’s, surfing and more.

On June 4, the Florida Taekwondo Games were held in the Vince Carter Gymnasium of Daytona Beach’s Mainland High School. The event, sponsored by the Musool Academy of Martial Arts in Port Orange, included competitions for youth, teens and adults in a variety of martial arts techniques.

The idea for participating came from the Florida Campus’ own Matt Kellen, I.T. Network Manager, himself a member of the Musool Academy.

“Chiropractic and the martial arts are a good match. We appreciate Palmer’s Sports Council being on hand to treat the participants. They provides a service to the tournament and in turn get exposure and experience in a new environment,” said Kellen.
