Palmer increases sponsorship and participation in Quad Cities Go Red for Women
11/16/2010 (Archived)
Palmer College and the Palmer Chiropractic Clinics have sponsored the
American Heart Association’s annual Quad Cities Go Red for Women event for
several years, but this year the Palmer Chiropractic Clinics were the event’s
“Heart to Heart” sponsor, which is just one level below the highest level of
“Presenting Sponsor.” This meant the Palmer Clinics had increased participation
in the Nov. 4 event, including providing one of the breakout session speakers,
being mentioned numerous times from the podium, having a flier in the bags and
several ads in the program, participating in the fundraising announcement and
having a chiropractic information booth at the vendor fair. In addition, Palmer
Center for Chiropractic Research Program Coordinator Lori Byrd was one of the
“passion speakers” and spoke of her own experience with heart surgery. Interim
Vice President for Academic Affairs Dan Weinert, D.C., M.S., spoke on “Refueling
for Fitness” during one of the two breakout sessions.
