New addition to Palmer's Dual Degree Program 3+1: Briar Cliff University
10/5/2010 (Archived)
Briar Cliff University
in Sioux City, Iowa, is the latest university to take part in Palmer College's
Dual Degree Program, which is available through Palmer's Davenport Campus.
The purpose of a Dual
Degree Agreement, also known as an Articulation Agreement, is to foster a spirit
of cooperation between two educational institutions which provides students with
an opportunity to earn degrees from both institutions. In addition, because
students participating in these programs may earn credit concurrently for their
fourth year at their undergraduate institution as well as their first year of
the professional program leading to a Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Palmer,
they may save up to a year of time and tuition dollars.
This agreement is
designed for students who intend to pursue a chiropractic education and want to
receive a degree from their undergraduate institution. During their first year
of study in the D.C. program at Palmer, students also receive credit for
completion of their fourth year at their undergraduate institution by
transferring the Palmer D.C. credits back to their undergraduate college in
order to complete their undergraduate degree.
