Position Title: Radiology Positioning Assistant

Description of Responsibilities: The Radiology Positioning Assistant is responsible for assuring quality education of the chiropractic student in the study of radiographic positioning and maintaining radiographic equipment. The individual in this position will perform various classroom duties including proctoring exams; perform radiographs as required for lab assignment and provide appropriate assistance to students in radiographic positioning classes.

Position Qualifications Required: Requires a high school diploma and AASCT degree or Radiologic Technologist Certification. Requires at least one year of work related experience; laboratory assistance in a higher education institution preferred, plus ARRT or ACCRT Certification. Must be licensed by the Iowa Department of Health.

 Position Title:Senior Director of Facilities & Project Management

Description of Responsibilities: The Senior Director of Facilities & Project Management is responsible for the overall fiscal and administrative management of facility operations for the college. This individual will provide leadership and direction in short and long-range facilities planning through quality and cost effective practices. The position is also responsible for project management of capital improvement projects on all campuses and energy conservation efforts. 

Position Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent related field; five years related experience and/or training; supervisory experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Comprehensive knowledge of methods, materials, tools, equipment and building maintenance requirements and codes, including safety regulations and technical expertise that includes experience with optimizing building systems, energy programs, and other relevant technical systems is essential. Qualifications in HVAC, Mechanical and Electrical Repair Experience and Boiler License are preferred.

Position Title: Faculty Clinician

Description of Responsibilities: Faculty Clinicians support the mission of Palmer College and the Palmer Clinics; provide quality chiropractic patient care, leadership and guidance to student interns and mentoring of clinical education to student interns. Faculty Clinicians provide hands on mentoring and foster a critical thinking environment for student intern education; participate in the development and running of the entrance and proficiency examinations; assure proper documentation is maintained on all patients, file patient reports in an appropriate and timely manner. Other duties include direct teaching responsibilities; review student qualitative and quantitative requirements needed for the Clinic courses and for graduation; develop and maintain a clinical practice.

Position Qualifications Required: Qualified applicants must possess a Doctor of Chiropractic degree; an active Iowa license for practice at time of hire, and be eligible for licensure in Illinois and attained within 6 months of hire.

 Position Title: Radiology Resident 

Department: Clinical Radiology

Description of Responsibilities: The Radiology Resident is responsible for educating students and faculty on the proper use of diagnostic radiology and advanced imaging procedures. This position is an in-house training program in radiology, inclusive of advanced imaging. This is a three-year minimum program, leading to board examination eligibility. Responsibilities include self-study assignments, small group discussion, formal evaluations, attendance at weekly residency sessions, and presentations given to residents, faculty and students. The position includes departmental, teaching and radiographic imaging responsibilities.
