 Position Title: Radiology Resident 

Department: Clinical Radiology

Description of Responsibilities: The Radiology Resident is responsible for educating students and faculty on the proper use of diagnostic radiology and advanced imaging procedures. This position is an in-house training program in radiology, inclusive of advanced imaging. This is a three-year minimum program, leading to board examination eligibility. Responsibilities include self-study assignments, small group discussion, formal evaluations, attendance at weekly residency sessions, and presentations given to residents, faculty and students. The position includes departmental, teaching and radiographic imaging responsibilities.

Position Qualifications Required: Applicants must have a Doctor of Chiropractic and preferably a Bachelor’s degree; completion of National Boards Parts I, II, III, IV and PT; be eligible for a Chiropractic license in the state of Iowa; completion of postgraduate requirements making the resident eligible to sit for Diplomate ACBR level exams.

Position Title: Laboratory Animal Technician 

Department: Research

Description of Responsibilities: Under general supervision independently provides care for all laboratory animals in accordance with federal, state, local and college regulations. Duties include, assures strict cleanliness standards are maintained within the animal facility; provides food, water and enrichment to all animals; keeps appropriate records; processes incoming food, bedding and animals; ensures SOP compliance; and cleans and disinfects animal enclosures.

Position Qualifications Required: Associate’s degree in animal husbandry or veterinary technician or related program is required and at least 1 year of animal care experience. “Associate technician” or “technician” certification from The American Association of Laboratory Animal Science is preferred. Good oral and written communication skills and a valid state or commercial driver’s license is required.
