Research Honors Program

The Research Honors Program gives you the opportunity to experience research and enhance your educational experience while in the Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) program. It allows you to design and complete a faculty-mentored research project.

The two-step application process entails:
  • You and a faculty mentor submit a Student Project Application for initial approval. This allows you to begin working on your project.
  • Once your project is complete and a manuscript based on your work is written, a Research Honors Application is submitted for final approval of Research Honors.

A monthly discussion forum provides students and faculty mentors in the program or others interested in the program an opportunity to share their research ideas, questions about how to get involved, experiences with the application and research process, and progress on research projects with other members of the program.

Research Honors Program Goals

  1. Encourage students who desire an expanded educational experience to participate in research.
  2. Foster an appreciation for research.
  3. Provide mentorship to students in research methodologies.
  4. Expose students to the possibility of a research career.
  5. Inform interested students of research training opportunities.
  6. Encourage and recognize meritorious research scholarship.

If interested, you should contact the Research Honors Program Coordinator or the Campus Coordinator on your campus for program information and guidance.
