Having trained and certified staff to take X-rays is a big time-saver.

Students completing the Associate of Science in Chiropractic Technology (A.S.C.T.) degree program are eligible to sit the certification exam of the American Chiropractic Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ACRRT). This certification allows you to take and develop diagnostic X-rays in a chiropractic setting.

The ACRRT is based out of Palatine, IL. Approximately 30 states currently recognize ACRRT certification. Other states require a state-based exam in order to become certified to take X-rays in a chiropractic clinic.

A few states do not allow chiropractic staff members to take X-rays. Your state’s chiropractic board can provide further information.

For more information or to learn the date for the next ACRRT exam, please call (563) 884-5743 or e-mail undergrad@palmer.edu.
