Assistant Coordinator of Recreation & Facilities

Faculty Instructor (2 Openings)

Responsibilities
Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport Campus, invites applications for a full-time technique faculty position. The role of the instructor is to teach chiropractic technique coursework (lecture and/or lab) within the Doctor of Chiropractic program. Duties include preparation and presentation of individual lectures; course syllabus management; development, administration, and grading of both formative and summative assessments; and assisting students in developing the psychomotor skills required in delivering a safe and effective chiropractic adjustment.

Requirements
Candidates must have a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from a CCE accredited institution; current licensure in the state of Iowa; and a minimum of 2 years documented practice experience and/or teaching experience in an institution of higher education. Knowledge and experience in utilizing Palmer Package techniques is required. Experience using Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson, Toggle, Motion Palpation, Flexion-Distraction and Activator methods is preferred. Computer literacy with email and Microsoft Office products is required. Academic preparation and experience in higher education teaching, evidence of teaching excellence and familiarity with technology and LMS are preferred.

The Admissions Representative is a highly visible position responsible for representing Palmer College of Chiropractic in order to recruit and advise prospective students through matriculation for any or all educational programs on the San Jose, California, campus. The individual in this position will advise prospective students on academic qualifications and admission information; contact and maintain current information on qualified inquiries; monitor student enrollment status for assigned territory (or program); meet with students and career advisors.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; five years related admissions/recruitment/sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Qualified candidate must be a self-starter who is capable of excelling in a goal-oriented environment; excellent organizational and communication skills a must. Database management and strong phone skills required. Experience in Higher Education setting preferred. Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; one year related admissions/sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Substantial experience may be substituted for education. Position requires some travel as well as weekends and evenings. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
