Administrative Assistant - 2 openings

Responsibilities

Director of Auxiliary Services

Responsibilities
The Director of Auxiliary Services is responsible for providing leadership and guidance for the Bookstore, Food Services (contracted), Campus Housing, Print Center, Mailroom and additional auxiliary units which may be developed in the future if deemed beneficial to the College. Help Desk Manager

Responsibilities
The Help Desk Manager serves as the IT reference coordinator to provide assistance to the College’s faculty, staff and students. The position coordinates basic user technical training and remediation activities, oversees the information resources repository of instructional materials for user applications, and makes recommendations for additions to learning aids and tools. This position is responsible for training, mentoring, and managing the desktop/AV techs at all locations.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems or related field required; five years of related experience and/or training can be exchanged for education; five years of information technology experience required; three years of experience providing technical support in a helpdesk or desktop and AV support environment; supervisory experience strongly preferred. Responsibilities
The Library Assistant is responsible for the successful completion of a variety of assigned tasks and projects supporting library departments. This position will assist patrons in identifying or locating material; perform data entry to library databases, records and accounts, both computerized and manual; verify accuracy and completeness of data; order materials, verify invoices and materials received; maintain and prepare complete and accurate statistical reports as assigned.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent plus two years additional related education and at least one year of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Academic Counselor/ Disability Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the delivery of individual and small group support services for Palmer students relative to educational and curricular issues. In compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), this position coordinates services for students with documented disabilities. This position also advises students on college academic policies and works collaboratively with faculty members to support the goals and objectives of the learning environment. Superior written and verbal communication skills; ability to present views in a clear and compelling manner.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in psychology, communications, or education; Master’s degree preferred. Responsibilities
The Director of Clinic Business is responsible for the efficient staffing, computer applications and upkeep, financial reporting in regards to patient billing, collection and reporting of all Palmer Clinics and Clinic Departments. This position develops and manages clinic business operations including clinic information systems, student services, staff and personnel management; conduct various analysis and evaluations of clinic business and financial matters. The Director manages all aspects of subordinate personnel including scheduling, hiring, training and performance management; administers clinics business office policies and procedures. Additionally, manages collection services; reconciles accounts receivable in coordination with the Business Office, serve on appointed committees, task forces, and other teams.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Health Sciences or related field; Master’s degree preferred; Three to five years related experience and/or training, with supervisory experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Word; and familiarity with Electronic Patient Records systems. Strong customer service skills and orientation preferred.
