Head Librarian

Responsibilities
Palmer College of Chiropractic invites applications for three Head Librarian positions, each with a specific area of focus as listed below. The Head Librarian has management responsibility for a department within the David D. Palmer Health Sciences Library. The Head Librarian resides at Palmer’s Davenport campus and shall perform administrative, supervisory and professional work in planning and delivering Library services. In addition, this position will coordinate related services, programs, policies and resources with the branch campuses to provide consistency across the Library system.

Requirements
Masters in Library Science from an ALA accredited university program or in a subject field closely related to the requirements of the position; three years of experience in professional library work, background in health sciences desired; strong supervisory or management skills required. Demonstrated interest in promoting collaboration, outreach initiatives, and use of technology to improve access.

Senior Director for Safety and Security

Responsibilities
The Senior Director for Safety and Security is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the College's environmental and campus safety, security, and emergency management efforts for all campuses. This includes loss prevention; safety and security for the campus community, visitors and College property; environmental safety; parking enforcement; and safety compliance. The Senior Director assures the College has comprehensive safety and security programs and complies with applicable federal, state and local law.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field required (e.g., Safety/Environmental, Risk Management, Criminal Justice, etc.); Master's degree preferred. Six years of related work experience (e.g., safety, risk management, security, etc.) required with a minimum of two years management and supervisory experience. The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of applicable safety and security regulations, fire codes, OSHA, Clery Act, HEOA, hazard and biochemical regulations.

Instructional Designer

Biostatistician

Responsibilities
Join the Office of Data Management & Biostatistics at the Palmer Center for Chiropractic Research to support Federally-funded investigators conducting basic science, clinical trials and health services research. Work with the director and research investigators to develop data analysis plans, write statistical programs and perform data analysis. Write and review statistical protocols and reports, including those for manuscripts and grant applications.

Requirements
Master’s degree in Biostatistics or Statistics with a minimum of 1 year related experience. Experience may be that gained through a graduate research assistantship or internship; demonstrated expertise in standard statistical software, SAS and R in particular. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Must exhibit a high degree of motivation and work effectively within a group setting and be able to handle time management of multiple simultaneous projects.

Faculty Clinician
