The Palmer Philanthropy Club was founded in 2013 by the Development Office as a way to engage students in philanthropy and service. The mission of the club is to engage students in service that will foster relationships resulting in support and to educate students on how to become more civically engaged in their community through philanthropic efforts. In addition to this, the club also strives to educate the student body on the importance of alumni support to Palmer College. This is done through a series of events throughout the year.

This spring, the club will be hosting a bake sale, volunteering in Downtown Davenport Clean Up Day and working to complete a home for Habitat for Humanity. The club is also planning to be present during alumni events at Davenport Campus Homecoming.

Welcome to Operation Palmer Promotes Play, the online home of the largest student-run philanthropy at Palmer College of Chiropractic! Operation Palmer Promotes Play, affectionately known as OP3, has been established to raise funds and awareness to improve the health and well-being of children in our community through play. This year we are fundraising to revitalize Sister Concetta Park and playground for Project Renewal, a non-profit organization that works with high-risk children. This project promotes health education and physical activity for youth in the Quad Cities. The OP3 Phase 1 playground build day took place on September 28, 2013 at Sister Concetta Park. Phase 2 renovation will take place in the spring of 2014, with a dedication ceremony planned for Saturday, April 12. We are excited to have you join us as we continue to make strides to promote wellness for youth.

For the Kids, for the Community

Operation Palmer Promotes Play is a student-led organization with a mission to improve the health and well-being of children in our community through play. This is accomplished by working with non-profit organizations in the Quad Cities to promote health education and physical activity. We hope to instill in the community the enjoyment and benefits of daily activity and healthy habits.
