Operation Palmer Promotes Play
Welcome to Operation Palmer Promotes Play, the online home of the largest student-run philanthropy at Palmer College of Chiropractic! Operation Palmer Promotes Play, affectionately known as OP3, has been established to raise funds and awareness to improve the health and well-being of children in our community through play. We are excited to have you join us as we continue to make strides to promote wellness for youth.
2017: School Supply Drive
Palmer’s Davenport campus Palmer Student Alumni Foundation (PSAF) and the Philanthropy Club/Operation Palmer Promotes Play coordinated a fundraiser to help the local community. This time the focus was on collecting school supplies for Madison Elementary School. The groups collected donations from students and various departments (including Marketing & Communication, Admissions and the Palmer Clinics). Plus, a Quad-City area alumnus donated $300 to the cause. By the end of the drive, they’d collected and purchased more than 2,300 supplies. From pencils to backpacks, items included everything the kids need for a successful school year.
2015: The Madison Project
The Operation Palmer Promotes Play (OP3) Club is currently partnering with Madison School in Davenport for what they call “The Madison Project”. OP3, the Philanthropy Club (PPC) and members of the Rugby team are joining together for several health and nutrition events that will be held at the school with different grade levels.
2014: Project Renewal
OP3 volunteers work with Project Renewal to be a positive presence for the children and families in our community by helping with after-school programs and other community events.
