Allison Schroeder

As a member of the largest family of chiropractors in the profession (73 and growing), Allison Schroeder didn’t just “dip her toe in the water” when it came to making her decision to be a part of the family tradition, she dove right in. And it was not just because her second cousin happens to be Terry Schroeder, D.C., a member of four-time U.S. Olympic water polo teams, who won silver and bronze medals as a player, and coached the 2008 men’s water polo team to a silver medal in the Beijing Summer Olympic games.

Nina received her Associate of Science in Chiropractic Technology (A.S.C.T.) degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic. Her husband is a student in Palmer’s D.C. program. “Our goal is to open our own business together when we return to Raleigh, N.C.,” says Nina.

Jay Breitlow, D.C.
I graduated from Purdue University in 2002 and decided I needed to work in the field I had specifically gone to school for. So not really knowing what I was going to be doing on a daily basis, I accepted a well-paying job in Richmond, Va., as a nuclear engineer.  The problem with being an engineer is that you end up behind a desk all day crunching numbers and clicking a mouse until the clicker nearly stops. So I started to do new and interesting things.

Cory discovered chiropractic at the age of 17 after he injured his back doing back flips off of 40-foot cliffs with his friends. “The next day I went to a local chiropractor for muscle spasms in my lower back,” he recalls. “Two days later I had almost no symptoms, and from then on I was hooked on chiropractic.”
