In this module, a banking professional and a business developer will provide an overview of the business planning process. Details include the elements of the business planning process, understanding why a business plan is a living document, which components of the business plan are most scrutinized by the bank, and identifying realistic numbers to use in a business plan. They will explain about funding sources, loan structure and the all-important five essentials of qualifying for financing. Financing issues will also be presented. Topics will include the current economy and lending climate as well as how to network with bankers in your community. The session will also explore the reality of owning a business and help you identify your "circle of six". The concepts presented in this module offer a foundation for developing your practice financials.
