The 2011 American Heart Association Go Red for Women luncheon and silent auction is set for Thursday, Nov. 8, at the RiverCenter in Davenport. The annual event, which is themed, “Paint the Town Red,” aims to educate women about stroke and heart disease—the No. 1 killer in women-- and empower them to make some healthy changes. Palmer Chiropractic Clinics is sponsoring the event.
Doors open at 10:30 a.m. for educational breakout sessions, silent auction bidding and the vendor fair. Lunch and speakers will begin at noon. Kay Luna of the Quad-City Times will serve as this year’s guest emcee. Tickets are $35 and may be purchased online at www.quadcitiesgoredforwomen.org.
Funds raised by the Go Red for Women event support cardiovascular research and education for women.
