Palmer's West Campus Homecoming is almost here! Register for the May 18-20 event so you won't miss out on great sessions, including:
- Dr. Dan Murphy will present his session on Subluxation Neurology and Health. Dr. Murphy will discuss the four models of subluxation nerve interference, genetic expression and their influence on health. He will also review clinical neuroanatomy of spinal mechanoreception including: receptors, synapsis, cord pathways and brain representation. Dr. Murphy will discuss the concept of spinal cord laminar reflexes as related to visceral function and the relationship between spinal adjusting, mechanoreception and visceral influences.
- Dr. James Chestnut will present on "Evidence-Based Wellness and Prevention: The Foundation of Health Care by 2020." In this session, Dr. Chestnut will discuss how the new scientific concepts of allostasis, allostatic load and epigenetics are shifting the paradigm of health science and health care toward the original chiropractic paradigm and away from the traditional allopathic model. Science is showing that the central nervous system is the key interface between our environment and the expression of our genes. Addressing the cause rather than palliating the effects is the new mantra in health science and will be the new paradigm of 21st Century health care. It is chiropractic’s birthright to be the gatekeepers of wellness and prevention paradigm health care.
- Dr. Craig Liebenson will present “Is Chiropractic Out of Alignment?” Dr. Liebenson is the director of L.A. Sports & Spine, a pain management, rehabilitation and performance enhancement center providing one-on-one musculoskeletal care. He is an adjunct professor in the School of Chiropractic, Division of Health Sciences at Murdoch University, Perth, Australia, and consultant for the Anglo-European Chiropractic College M.Sc. programs in chiropractic rehabilitation.
