All Davenport Campus employees and students are invited to the rugby team send-off and a free lunch at the Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day All-School Cookout on Wednesday, May 30. Show your support for the Palmer men’s rugby team at noon during the cookout, when Davenport Campus Provost Dr. Dan Weinert will speak. The team will play in its third consecutive USA Men’s Division I Rugby Championship June 2-3 in Glendale, Colo., and departs at 7 a.m. on Thursday.
For the lunch, choose from a grilled hamburger, chicken sandwich or hot dog, with a side of either potato salad or pasta salad, chips, a cookie and bottled water or soda. The winners of the student-voted Faculty and Staff of the Year awards will be named at the event. The cookout is sponsored by the Student Council. In the event of rain, it will be held in the Cafeteria.
