Admission Procedures

Application

Application deadlines: Early application is highly recommended.

Transcripts: All students seeking admission to graduate study in Anatomy must possess at least a bachelor’s degree, as documented from official transcripts from appropriately accredited institutions.

Letters of Recommendation: All students applying to graduate study in anatomy at Palmer College must submit at least three letters of recommendation using standard forms (be certain to secure Letter of Recommendation Forms from the office of the Division of Graduate Studies). At least two of these letters should be provided by science faculty capable of evaluating the applicant’s capacity and commitment to complete graduate studies.

Examinations:

Graduate Record Examination (GRE): Required (General Requirements)

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): (General Requirements)

Where the TOEFL examination applies, then the Spoken Test of English also is required and may be taken at a United States embassy or consulate. The applicant must request that test scores be sent directly to Palmer College of Chiropractic, Division of Graduate Studies (Palmer’s College institutional code is 6593).

Other:

Essay: All applicants to graduate study in anatomy must submit an essay summarizing their academic qualification to undertake graduate studies, and indicating their specific goals in completing this study.

Statement of Educational Philosophy: All applicants must submit a written statement of their personal philosophy of education. This essay should indicate what benefits they anticipate receiving from a teaching assistantship and how their educational philosophy will contribute to their role as a graduate student.
