consult the appropriate section for the program of study they wish to
pursue for specific expectations for admission to that program.
Application
Deadlines: Admission is granted to the Fall-Winter
trimester. Foreign student applications must be received no later than
June 1. Resident applications must be received no later than August 1.
Early application is highly recommended.
Application Form: A student seeking admission to graduate study at Palmer
College must secure an appropriate application form from the office of
the Division of Graduate Studies. These application forms, three letters
of recommendation and any other required supporting documentation must be
received in advance of the deadlines for admission listed above. A
non-refundable application fee of $50 must accompany the application.
Transcripts: All students seeking admission to graduate
study at Palmer College must submit official copies of transcripts
directly from all institutions they have attended.
Letters of Recommendation: Successful applicants
demonstrate a capacity to undertake and complete directed research and,
most importantly, a genuine commitment and drive to complete the academic
studies foundational to that research. The applicant’s capacity and
commitment are best evaluated from frank and objective evaluations
prepared by faculty members who have directly observed or supervised the
applicant.
Examinations: Although the Division of Graduate Studies
does not use an entrance examination alone to qualify a student for
admission to graduate study at Palmer College of Chiropractic, all
applicants are expected to submit scores from the Graduate Record
Examination and, as needed, the Test of English as a Foreign Language or
a comparable measure of mastery of English, as a part of the admission
process. Other examinations or sub-parts of examinations may be
specifically required by individual degree programs. Applicants should
consult the specific requirements for their program for additional
expectations.
Graduate Record Examination (GRE) – Scores from the
General (aptitude) Test of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) are
required. However, in congruence with the purpose of this examination, no
minimum score for admission has been established. The applicant must
request that test scores be sent directly to Palmer College of
Chiropractic, Division of Graduate Studies (institutional code is R6593).

applicant is a graduate of an institution of higher education where
English was not the language of instruction for the last earned degree,
then proof of English proficiency is required. A suitable evidence of
English proficiency may be provided through testing by the Institution
for International Education of the United States State Department. The
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) may be taken at a United
States embassy or consulate. The Spoken Test of English is required as
well in this instance. The applicant must request that test scores be
sent directly to Palmer College of Chiropractic, Division of Graduate
