On February 10, the New Zealand College
of Chiropractic (NZCC) officially opened
its new campus in Mt. Eden, replacing its
campus in Mt. Wellington. As part of the
grand opening, Palmer College was recognized
for its past support of the institution.
Palmer’s Director of Clinical Radiology Ian
McLean, D.C., Davenport ’79, a native of
New Zealand, represented Palmer College
and took part in the dedication of one of
NZCC’s large new classrooms—the Palmer
Lecture Theatre.
“I found a great deal of enthusiasm for
chiropractic in New Zealand during my
visit,” said Dr. McLean. “I’m especially
encouraged with how New Zealand College
of Chiropractic’s program is growing.”
According to the president of NZCC,
Brian Kelly, D.C., Davenport ’73, enrollment
on the campus has grown by more
than 34 percent in the last year. Today,
NZCC has 200 students enrolled in its
four-year degree program.
