During the West Campus Homecoming in October,
Palmer College’s Office of Development held the first
annual Heritage Endowment Society event for that
campus. The event recognized the society’s founding
members and gave scholarship donors and recipients
a chance to meet.
One founding member, keynote speaker Peggy Sherman,
D.C., Davenport ’82, took advantage of the opportunity
to talk with students Sarah Clark and Michael Pound
who were this year’s recipients of the Dr. Peggy Sherman
Endowed Scholarship fund.
Now retired, Dr. Sherman donated her salary during
her 16-year tenure to establish a scholarship fund
which annually awards scholarships to a pair of West
Campus students who demonstrate enthusiasm for and
participation in activities that promote the chiropractic
profession on campus and within the community. In
honor of her support, she has been made an honorary
alumna of the West Campus.
