For doctors interested in specializing
in pediatrics chiropractic, Portland,
Ore., will serve as the backdrop for
Year 1 of an International Chiropractors
Association Pediatrics Diplomate
program starting in the spring of 2009.
“Programming interests can often
overlap amongst colleges,” said CE’s
Dr. Laurie Mueller, who has served
as the chair of the Association of
Chiropractic Colleges Post-Graduate
Subcommittee for the past five years.
According to Dr. Mueller, numerous
Palmer alumni in the Pacific Northwest
have asked for pediatrics programming.
At the same time, schools
are cognizant of when they are bringing
seminars into the backyard of
another college. She feels it’s a positive
strategy to share programming
opportunities in a limited marketplace.
“Western States is a quality
institution and we are proud to partner
with them to host this program
on their campus.”
Event coordinators from both institutions
are currently collaborating to set
final programming dates, with registration
being handled by Palmer’s CE
Department.
