The Run for Renewal and Treat House
Trot once again received official sponsor
support from the Davenport Campus.
The 5K run/walk and half-mile trot was
held April 19, and promotes physical
well-being and healthy lifestyle choices
among Quad-City area youth and adults.
It also brings awareness of positive
developments to the inner-city neighborhood
surrounding Project Renewal, a
non-profit agency that serves children
from low-income families with afterschool
and summer park programs.
Funds raised from the Run for Renewal
and Treat House Trot go toward Project
Renewal.
“It’s important for Palmer to support
programs such as this in our own
community,” said Public Relations
and Events Specialist Katie Hoyt.
“And Project Renewal, specifically,
gives area youths positive options,
both educational and recreational.”
