Serving those who serve their country

Since the Revolutionary War, the men and women of the U.S. military have been called upon to defend the rights and freedoms of their country. Yet as recently as the early 1990s, chiropractic care was not available at hospitals run by the Department of Defense or the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Now, Palmer graduates are providing this much needed care at authorized Defense and Veterans Affairs facilities. In the following pages, Insights profiles just some of the many alumni who are delivering chiropractic care to everyone from active duty service members to veterans.
Integrating chiropractic on two fronts

In order for chiropractic to emerge as a viable healthcare option in the U.S. military, its progress has, out of necessity, followed two separate paths. While care for active duty personnel is provided at Department of Defense hospitals on military bases, veterans obtain their care at Veterans Administration hospitals.
