Palmer College’s West Campus hosted a special meeting of
the Silicon Valley Leadership Group (SVLG) on Nov. 20, which
brought representatives from more than two-dozen local
companies and city governments. The SVLG, of which Palmer
College is a member, is comprised of more than 200 of Silicon
Valley’s top companies. SVLG engages the participation of the
Valley’s top employers to address and find innovative solutions
to critical issues such as housing, transportation, education and
the environment.
West Campus President Bill Meeker, D.C., West ’82, welcomed
the SVLG guests and presented a brief overview of Palmer
College and the West Campus.
Other West Campus attendees included Dean of Student
Academic Affairs Bill DuMonthier, D.C., Davenport ’79,
and Admissions Coordinator Sandra Casanovas.
Officials from many local governments also were on hand,
including those representing the cities of Campbell, Los
Gatos, Milpitas, Mountain View, San Jose, Santa Clara,
Saratoga and Sunnyvale.
