Florida Campus President Dr. Peter Martin was the first customer
at the new Java Express, here being served a fresh cup by ARAMARK’S
Silvia Polanco. |
The new Java Express is now open in the lobby of Building 2
on the Florida Campus. Designed to provide another food and
drink option on campus, Java Express is open Monday-Friday,
and serves coffee, cold drinks, fresh fruit, pastries and snacks.
“It gives people an option on their way to or between classes to
make a quick stop without making a trip to Java City,” said
Director of Institutional Support George Bertish, M.B.A. “It also
helps to avoid waiting lines. Java Express has been open a little
more than a week and has been very well received.”
On the West Campus, the Student Services office has been
expanded to one open area that not only houses Student Services,
but the offices of Admissions, Financial Aid and the Registrar.
West Campus students JP Amonte and Kyle Alexander were joined
by Gary de Wet, D.C., Davenport ’66, professor, at an open house
for the new Student Services area. |
“The new configuration was truly done with the students’ needs
in mind,” said West Campus Enrollment Director Julie Behn at
an open house to mark the expansion. “We wanted a space that
current students could get all their needs met in one place—a
‘one-stop-shop.’ In addition, it allows prospective students the
opportunity to interact and engage with our community.”
