Class of 1985 Reunion Dinner

Sixteen members of the Class of ’85 joined various Palmer
administrators, faculty and staff for a reunion dinner, hosted by
West Campus Clinical Professor and Alumni Representative
Thomas Milus, D.C., Davenport ’82.
Each graduate shared their life experiences of the past 25 years,
including Karl Aamot, D.C., who said, “I’m very thankful for
the education that I received at Palmer West. It turned these
hands of a carpenter into the hands of a healer. I’m exceptionally
grateful for what Palmer taught me.”
Added Dr. Milus, “As each alumnus shared their perspectives
and practice experiences, it was very clear that they were more
passionate than ever about the profession they had chosen more
than 25 years ago.”
Relicensure seminars
A multi-track relicensure seminar series was offered that
enabled doctors to earn technique and X-ray credits, as well
as CPR certification.
Seminars presented by Palmer alumni included: “Extremity
Adjusting” with Makani Lew, D.C., ’91; “Blair Upper Cervical
Technique” with Tom Forest, D.C., ’74; “Radiology of Trauma,
Tumors and Arthritides” with Tracey Littrell, D.C.; ’97; “When
the Foot Hits the Ground, Everything Changes” with Kirk Lee,
D.C., ’80; “Coding and Documentation: What Your Insurance
Claims Say About Your Practice,” and “Red Flags and Record
Keeping” with John Davila, D.C., ’94; and “Basic Life Support
for Healthcare Providers (CPR),” with Tammi Clark, D.C., ’94.
Special presentation by retired Brigadier
General Halstead
Foundation for Chiropractic Progress spokesperson retired
Brigadier General Becky Halstead delivered an inspiring
and energetic presentation, “Advancing Chiropractic in
the Military: Leading the Charge!” It elicited many “hooah!”
responses from the capacity crowd in the West Campus
Library and set the tone for an exciting Saturday gala.
Prospective Student Event
More than 50 guests attended the concurrent prospective
student event. Of the 22 prospective students in attendance,
five had already submitted applications and 11 more submitted
applications at the event.

Following General Halstead’s presentation, guests convened
for Saturday evening festivities in a special tent set up on
campus. Guests enjoyed an elegant dinner, danced to
the sounds of Ben Marcato and Mondo Combo, and vied for
prizes playing various Casino Night games.
