Recognizing our referring alumni

We know our best source of student referrals is you—our alumni. Thank you for your belief in Palmer and for trusting us with your referrals. We know when you recommend Palmer, future chiropractors listen and follow through on your advice.

It's important to us to recognize those of you who refer students to our three campuses. One stalwart source of referrals is our rugby alumni. They've referred countless family members, friends, patients and fellow ruggers. For example, Gregory Jones, D.C., Davenport '75, has been the head coach of the Kutztown University rugby team in Kutztown, Pa., for 27 years and has referred many of his players to Palmer. In August he brought three of his ruggers to Palmer's Davenport Campus for Homecoming. All three Golden Bears teammates, Mike Lawrenson, Gareth Lourens and Niku Kruger, are now bound for Palmer.

Then there's Michael Harpham, D.C., Davenport '89, of Bay City, Mich. Dr. Harpham worked with an area high school to develop a career program for future chiropractors. High school students interested in a health care career regularly come to his office to observe and learn about a career in chiropractic. He's referred a number of interested students to Palmer.

These are great stories, but they're just two examples. We know there are many of you who regularly refer students to Palmer. We're working to improve our records to make sure we know just who's referring students (and who the students are) so we can better recognize our referring doctors through direct communications and mentions in our publications.
