West HKC 'Kidnetics' Fundraiser at CrossFit Moxie in SJ - Oct. 22

10/18/2011 (Archived)

The West Campus Healthy Kids Club (aka The Kidnetics Project) will host a workout and BBQ fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at CrossFit Moxie Gym, located at 1286 Alma Court in San Jose.

The entry fee is $75 per team (three players per team, with at least one woman), and includes a CrossFit workout as well as a great barbecue and refreshments. The event is open to participants of all skill levels, and students, faculty, and staff are invited to participate. (For further details on the event and examples of the exercises planned for the workouts, go to: www.kidnetics.blogspot.com.)

If you’re not up for the CrossFit challenge, you can still come out to support and enjoy the post-event barbecue for just $15!

The Kidnetics Project is a non-profit organization affiliated with Palmer Chiropractic College West whose mission is to educate the youth of The Bay Area about health and wellness. The fundraiser helps to support the Kidnetics Club project, which will be implemented by the West Campus Healthy Kids Club at local elementary schools to help children understand and embrace the benefits of exercise and nutrition. Proceeds from the Oct. 22 fundraiser will help purchase exercise equipment, nutritional tools, t-shirts, as well as other necessary materials and resources to support the Kidnetics Club program.

To learn more about the West Campus HKC, attend club meetings on Wednesdays at 4 p.m. in Room 119.
