Palmer Paints the Towne becomes a yearly tradition for Florida Campus
On a beautiful fall day, more than 500 people of all ages, representing several countries and states, participated in the annual Palmer Paints the Towne 5K. Held on Sunday, Nov. 6, the event began and ended at Jackie Robinson Ballpark in Daytona Beach. Palmer College was once again the title sponsor, joining gold level sponsors Brown & Brown Insurance, Halifax Health, Bonefish Grille and the Daytona Cubs, just to name a few.
Pre- and post-race chiropractic care was provided by the Florida Campus Sports Council.
“We make a special trip to come to Daytona Beach for the race each year," said Janet S., while waiting for her turn at the Palmer tent. "I run with my father, who is in his seventies, and my daughter who is fourteen. It’s such a nice family event run over a beautiful course.”
Event organizer Donna Hiatt of the Daytona Beachcombers Running Club expressed her appreciation for Palmer’s support.
“We’d like to thank Palmer College for their support again this year. Through their sponsorship, volunteers and services to the participants, Palmer College has certainly become an integral part of the event’s success," said Ms. Hiatt.
